Hi all, Quick question. I really want to set up a monitor or 2 as displays to put on a bookshelf as I have been moving into buying digital books over physical(eek!) And doing my research digitally. I would like to have one display my Obsidian graph, maybe even refresh the animation periodically using a pi, but the pico would be cool.

Because the tool stores your notes in simple folder and files, there are many methods available to back your data up.

Apr 20, 2022 · Hey, I currently have around 2000 .md notes and 900 attachments in my med school folder, and that folder takes up about 1,7Gb. So it is fairly large for a folder of text files, but even after over 2 years, it's still manageable, and well below the limit for Obsidian Sync.

Jun 1, 2020 · I’d like to add my voice to requesting this. I don’t know why Obsidian needs more permissions than a local folder, especially since it isn’t “portable” right now. This would not allow for Dropbox in general, but a user workaround would be backing up the .md files into the desired Dropbox folder.

Oct 21, 2021 · Is it true that Obsidian doesn’t support ordinary Markdown sub and superscripts, or am I doing something wrong? For example: 100m^2. When I preview that, the 2 is not superscripted. I searched the forum, and found that I could use LATEX, like so: 100m $^2$ which leaves a space between the m and the superscripted 2. or. $100m^2$
