House Majority Leader Steve Scalise was back in his home district, talking about the controversial new tax and spending bill signed by President Trump.

Scalise was elected to Congress in 2008. He discussed how the country has learned from mistakes made in the wake of the storm. "It put pressure on government to do better at every level," he said.
