Cornerback Patrick Surtain II is one such player, and he was just named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his phenomenal performance in Sunday's 34-18 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Players of the Week are out. And as you might expect, Patrick Surtain Jr took home the Defensive Player of the Week Award for the AFC. Surtain earned his award for sure. But he had a lot of help from Raiders QBs Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell.

If Surtain keeps powering an elite unit and helps Denver make the playoffs for the first time since 2015, he should remain in the DPOY conversation. He could also cement his status as the Broncos' most valuable player.
