Israel and Iran have traded missile strikes for a third straight day. Israel on Sunday hit targets in Tehran including the Defense Ministry and sites it claims are tied to Iran’s nuclear program.

The conflict, the most intense fighting between the two countries in decades, has been met in the United States with feelings of “frustration and helplessness,” as well as heartbreak.

In Israel, 10 people, including two children, were killed and more than 100 injured during a second night of Iranian strikes, according to Israeli authorities.
