Aer Lingus has announced a new direct flight from Dublin Airport to Indianapolis, Indiana, set for take off from May 3 of next year.

Irish airline Aer Lingus on Monday said it would start a nonstop flight next year from Dublin to Indianapolis, the second time in the past month that St. Louis has been bypassed for a Dublin route on the carrier.

Indianapolis International Airport will host nonstop flights to Ireland from next spring. Starting Aer Lingus will fly directly to Dublin, from where travelers can connect to the rest of Europe. The flights will be scheduled to run four times a week,

Aer Lingus’ sister carrier Iberia is the launch customer for the A321XLR, with its first flights between Madrid and Paris now scheduled for Nov. 1, having been pushed back from Oct. 28. Iberia’s first transatlantic link will begin on Nov. 14 between Madrid and Boston.
