China urged the EU not to conduct price negotiations with individual electric vehicle manufacturers, as eight rounds of negotiations in Brussels failed

The comments come days after Brussels rejected a Chinese proposal for EVs made in China to be sold within the bloc at a minimum price of 30,000 euros ($32,000), a move Beijing hoped would avert EU tariffs being imposed next month.

China has invited an EU team to visit for further talks on the bloc's tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, despite the failure of nearly three weeks of negotiations, according to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
