BROCKTON, Mass. — Two people have been hospitalized after a kitchen fire in Brockton. According to Brockton Fire, crews responded to a home on Vine Street a little after 8 a.m. Upon arrival, crews found fire on the second floor. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

A boy died after a drowning at a Massachusetts home on Sunday, with an investigation led by Massachusetts State Police into the boy's death still ongoing.

The child was rushed to a Boston hospital where he was pronounced dead around 1:30 a.m. Monday, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz’s office.

Emergency crews responding to reports of a possible drowning involving a child on Sunset Avenue around 3 p.m. on Sunday rushed 4-year-old Hendrix Cooley-Walker to a Boston hospital, according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz. Cooley-Walker was pronounced dead around 1:30 a.m. on Monday.

Hendrix Cooley-Walker was transported to a Boston area hospital Sunday afternoon, and died from his injuries Monday morning.

A child was rushed to the hospital after a near-drowning at a pool in Brockton. Police responded to Sunset Street just before 3 p.m. on Sunday. First responders arrived at the house, where a Brockton officer performed life-saving measures. The child was rushed to a Boston hospital.
