As the New York Yankees kicked off the regular season in strong form, Aaron Judge has emerged as a key contributor. Following the team’s win over the Kansas City Royals, Judge's performance makes him even closer to Babe Ruth's record.

During the Yankees' most recent game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Judge belted his sixth home run of the season, which currently leads MLB. Impressively enough, it also meant Judge tied the legendary Babe Ruth, as they have now both hit 321 home runs in their first 1,000 games as a member of the Yankees.

The homer was the 321st of Judge's 1,000-game career, which is significant because a different slugger also had 321 in his first 1,000 games with the Yankees. Babe Ruth had that many after joining the team in his trade from the Boston Red Sox.
