Multiple crews have been on scene in Owenton since Monday night sifting through the damage left behind from a deadly helicopter crash, and the Grant County community is grieving the loss of local heroes.

Three crew members aboard a medical helicopter died after it crashed near Owenton, Kentucky. on Monday, according to the crew’s parent company. A statement from Air Evac Lifeteam said one of its helicopters – Air Evac 133 – crashed responding to an emergency call at around 6 p.m.

OWENTON, Ky. (WKRC) - Three people are dead after a medical helicopter crashed while responding to an incident in Owenton, Kentucky. According to the Owen County Coroner, the helicopter crashed near Owen County High School at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
