The No. 20-ranked Sooners got their second win of the year against a top-10 opponent and improved to 6-0 with a dramatic victory over the Cavaliers in the Round Rock Classic.

Oregon State earned a statement victory in its opener at the Round Rock Classic, defeating No. 2 Virginia 7-2 on Friday night. The Beavers overwhelmed Cavaliers pitching with 13 hits and eight walks, and Nelson Keljo and Eric Segura “piggybacked” OSU to another quality pitching performance on the mound.

Oregon State entered Saturday’s Round Rock Classic game against Oklahoma ranked No. 7, with a 5-0 record and 55-11 scoring differential, plus a day removed from beating No. 2 Virginia. The Beavers left Dell Diamond with their first welt of the season, and fully aware of OU’s 2025 potential.

The Beavers will look to add another marquee win to their resume Saturday afternoon when they face off with the Sooners in Texas.

The Beavers leaned on timely hitting and a stellar outing from reliever Eric Segura to secure their biggest win of the year thus far.

OU continues the event Saturday at 4 p.m. against No. 7 Oregon State. The Sooners are expected to face Beavers pitcher Dax Whitney, a freshman who OU coah Skip Johnson warns can hit 100 mph on the radar gun. The Sooners are planning to throw Malachi Witherspoon. OU concludes the weekend Sunday at 4 p.m. against No. 2 Virginia.
