A man accused of drugging and sexually assaulting nine women at his homes in Hermosa and Redondo Beach, allegedly killing one of the victims when he drugged her, is facing more than a dozen felony charges,

A California man is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting nine women over a two-year span – including one woman who died from the drugs, prosecutors say. Michael DiGiorgio, 50, was slammed with 18 felony charges on Friday, including murder, forcible rape, and rape of an unconscious person. He could face up to life in prison if convicted.

According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, as little as 2 mg of fentanyl can be lethal. That makes those 50 pounds enough to kill more than 11,000,000 people — or more than live in all of LA County. Aside from its deadly potential, the DEA estimates that the fentanyl is worth more than $4 million on the street.

California law allows an unhoused or homeless voter to participate in the election, said Dean Logan, who oversees the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. “They can register to vote, they can list the cross street where they spend the most of their time, where they lay their head at night," Logan said.
