SEOUL (Reuters) -North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his country will speed up steps toward becoming a military superpower with nuclear weapons and would not rule out using them if it came under enemy attack, state news agency KCNA said on Tuesday.

Kim Jong Un issued his second ominous message, saying he plans to make Pyongyang a top nuclear player and expand its capabilities in face of South Korea-U.S. partnership.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warned the United States and South Korea that any attack would be met with a nuclear response, state media reported Tuesday.
