Numerous tornadoes across the state were caught on camera, including a massive twister that crossed Alligator Alley on Interstate 75. Despite the high-profile nature of the storm, meteorologists won't have an exact tornado touchdown total until after the storm has passed.

A tornado struck Fort Myers, Florida, on Wednesday, just ahead of Hurricane Milton's expected landfall. Videos from the scene showed extensive damage in areas like Colonial and Orangewood, where several roofs were torn off buildings.

Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key as a Category 3 storm, delivering storm surge, flooding and tornadoes to Lee County. Power outages affected over 375,000 homes and businesses.
