According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, five people have died in the blaze that has moved through Pasadena, Altadena, and the Angeles National Forest.

The Eaton Fire that started in the foothills northeast of Los Angeles flared up Thursday morning near Mount Wilson.

The deadly wildfires roaring through Los Angeles County entered a fourth day on Friday. At least 10 people have been killed, about 150,000 are under mandatory evacuation orders and more than 10,000 homes and other structures have been destroyed, according to local officials.

Hundreds of evacuees from the devastating Eaton fire gathered in hallways of the Pasadena Convention Center on Wednesday, Jan. 8, amid gray, smoky skies, while ash rained down outside of the glass doors.

Firefighters are trying to mitigate the growing fire in Altadena, California, where a senior center is now in flames. Low water pressure and exhausted responders are impacting efforts. CBS News Los Angeles' Jasmine Viel has more.
