Vigilantes will start airing on April 7, 2025 exclusively on Crunchyroll. This is the same day as the Japanese release

Academia season 8 will be its last, which means at one of the defining shonen of the past decade is about to end. Or… is it? The beloved anime will be wrapping up this year, but a new adventure in that world is just about to begin.

A prequel to popular anime “ My Hero Academia ” is coming exclusively to Sony’s Crunchyroll streaming service outside of Asia next month.

Titles also releasing in North America on Blu-ray in June from Crunchyroll include Log Horizon Season 1 and 2, Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table, One Piece Season 14 Voyage 5 (episodes 941–952) with specially commissioned box art, and The Ossan Newbie Adventurer, Trained to Death by the Most Powerful Party, Became Invincible.

Vigilantes takes place years before the events of the main series, and follows a trio of underground heroes who illegally start fighting criminals to protect their town when the heroes don’t show up.

Vigilantes, a prequel to the popular series, will premiere on April 7 on Crunchyroll for audiences outside Asia. The show follows Koichi Haimawari and his vigilante companions as they fight crime without government approval.
