Through free agency and the expected hiring of Mike Brown as their next head coach, the New York Knicks have made it clear: They are all-in on offense, regardless of defensive consequences.

As well as his time with the Kings, Brown has coached the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, amassing a 454-304 (.599) record through 11 seasons. In three and a half seasons with the Kings, Brown finished with a 107-88 (.549) record.

Brown is being hired to replace Tom Thibodeaux, who was fired after the Knicks lost to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals. He was chosen from a pool of candidates that featured former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins, New Orleans Pelicans association head coach James Borrego and Minnesota Timberwolves assistant Micah Nori.
