A judge examined arguments over Trump’s decision to freeze billions of dollars in foreign aid after the Supreme Court ruled this week against the administration.

A day after getting a boost from the Supreme Court, U.S. foreign aid contractors and grant recipients go before a federal judge on Thursday to try to restore funding halted by President Donald Trump's administration in his drive to shut down American humanitarian efforts globally.

Although the outcome is a short-term loss for Trump’s administration, the nonprofit groups and businesses that sued are still waiting for the money they say they are owed. Organizations in the U.S. and around the world have cut services and laid off thousands of workers as a result.
