"We've got Dylan's back," University of South Carolina's head football coach, Shane Beamer, said during a press conference on Oct. 8, 2024. Beamer addressed Dylan Stewart's gun celebration while answering a question on if he had a rule about unsportsman like conduct.

Beamer said Stewart was punished for his mistake and held accountable inside the Long Family Football Operations Center. The Gamecocks’ head coach and his staff are trying to educate Stewart while also giving him grace.
