NCP leader Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan Siddiqui was also a target in the murder plot. The attackers were contracted to eliminate both Baba and Zeeshan Siddiqui, the arrested accused told Mumbai Police.

Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap -- were arrested immediately after the accident. A third accused, Shiv Kumar, who started firing directly at Baba Siddiqui, is still absconding.

Mumbai Police on Monday said Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui had received threats a few days before his father was shot dead in Mumbai. The accused told during interrogation that both Zeeshan and Baba Siddiqui were on the target and they were ordered to fire on anyone they found, they added.
