A man named Arturo Burgueno is suing Winter Park Resort after falling from the Explorer Express chairlift in March 2023. The lawsuit, filed Jan. 2, 2025, states Burgueno is an adaptive skier who suffered life-altering injuries from the fall.

Visitors were greeted with long lift lines and minimal open terrain at Park City ski resort when the ski patrol union went on strike. One dissatisfied guest has filed a class action lawsuit against parent company Vail Resorts,
