TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Electric said their crews have restored power for almost all customers following Hurricane Milton. Officials said as of Wednesday morning, 97% of customers have power and 95% of customers impacted by the storm have had their service restored, according to a news release.

Customers with Duke Energy, TECO, and FPL are still anxiously waiting for power restoration, which some companies say it can take a few more days.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida Power & Light Company has finalized preparations ahead of Hurricane Milton. According to FPL, in preparation for storm outages, approximately 14,500 men and women, equipment, and supplies, including assistance from 37 states across the U.S., have been pre-positioned.

Franceta Brown was on her fifth day without power Monday, and the hurricane snacks had long since run out for her four kids. At their house in the Fish Hawk area of eastern Hillsborough County, the food in the warm fridge was out of the question.
