REGINA — Saskatchewan Party Leader Scott Moe is promising a directive banning "biological boys" from using school changing rooms with "biological girls" if re-elected, a move the NDP's Carla Beck says weaponizes vulnerable kids.

The policy was not part of the platform released over the weekend. Moe said the party was just alerted to concerns "recently."

Moe says the move is in response to a recent complaint that some biological males changed for gym class with girls at a school in southeast Saskatchewan. He says school divisions should already have change room policies,

RCMP in Saskatchewan have issued an Amber Alert after a newborn baby was allegedly abducted from a health centre in the community of Montreal Lake.

RCMP have issued an Amber Alert for a five-day-old infant they say was been taken from a health centre in a northern Saskatchewan First Nation on Thursday afternoon.

An AMBER ALERT has been issued for a five-day-old baby boy who Waskesiu RCMP believe was abducted from the health centre in Montreal Lake, about an hour north of Prince Albert.
