Nintendo Switch Online adds another game to its catalog, and the name will be familiar to players from the Game Boy Advance era.

Nintendo recently highlighted three big games coming to the original Switch in 2025. They are Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Following the release of its financial results on Tuesday, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa answered a series of questions from investors. Among those questions was one about the future of software on the Switch after the Switch 2 arrives. You can read Furukawa’s answer below (as translated by Nintendo Everything ):

The Nintendo Switch 2 is easily the biggest launch on the horizon for the company, but Nintendo is eager to work on new mobile games too.

Nintendo is currently the only console maker that makes you pay for a monthly subscription to access its classic games instead of letting you buy them a la carte. That needs to change with the Switch 2.

Nintendo Switch offers a variety of strategy games with unique mechanics. Some games cater to newcomers while still challenging for experienced players. Titles like Overcooked 2, Mushroom Wars 2, and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle offer unique gameplay experiences.
