One person was shot and a suspect is dead after a nearly two-hour long standoff in Farmington Hills Sunday night, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say a 47-year-old woman was killed along with the gunman following a barricaded situation in Farmington on Sunday evening.

A woman was wounded after an assault and a gunman who later kept police at bay died by suicide in an incident in Farmington on Sunday, the city said.

A domestic violence situation ended with at least one dead in Farmington Sunday night. According to Farmington Public Safety Director Bob Houhanisin officers were called to the 22900 block of Warner Street for a domestic situation.
