Southampton striker Adam Armstrong completes his loan move to Championship side West Brom more than 14 hours after the transfer window closed.

West Brom have finally confirmed the signing of Adam Armstrong on loan from Southampton, in a deal that was a real coup for Tony Mowbray’s side. It was a hectic final day of the window for the Baggies, with Alex Palmer’s surprise departure to Ipswich Town coming as a blow for the fans.

The Saints confirmed the signing of young forward Victor Udoh late in the January transfer window, meaning they could sanction a move for Armstrong to depart. West Brom were one of the sides who looked to pull the trigger and bring him to the Championship, but a deal is yet to be confirmed.
