Alphabet Inc. is in talks to purchase cloud-security company Wiz Inc. for $33 billion, restarting discussions that were called off last summer after extended negotiations, according to people familiar with the matter.

Google-parent Alphabet is in advanced negotiations to buy Israeli cybersecurity company Wiz with an offer of more than $30 billion, according to a source familiar with the matter, marking its largest potential acquisition to date.

The companies didn’t disclose Wiz’s revenue in disclosing the deal and Alphabet didn’t respond to a request for information about that figure. But multiple media outlets have reported that Wiz had $500 million of annual recurring revenue at one point during 2024 and aimed to reach $1 billion in 2025.
