Lt. Nathan Gibbs said Marjorielle Evans, of Wichita, was crossing on foot when she was hit by a northbound sedan.

The accident was reported at 7:26 p.m. in the 4900 block of South Meridian. A 26-year-old Wichita woman was driving north on Meridian in her 2017 Hyundai Accent when she hit Evans, who was crossing the road on foot and was not seen by the driver, according to Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Nathan Gibbs.
