D’Spain, the first Black transgender model to work with Victoria’s Secret, has continued to break boundaries since making her debut with the brand in 2022, following in the footsteps of Valentina Sampaio, the first transgender model to represent Victoria’s Secret in 2019.

The fashion brand Victoria’s Secret on Tuesday introduced two transgender models during its 2024 fashion show. The show, which often showcases the brand’s lingerie offerings, was Victoria’s Secret’s first since 2019 when it was suspended amid criticism for failing to represent diverse body types and transgender models.

Biological men walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway Oct. 15 and someone needs to explain how this was permitted.
