A radioactive wasp nest was recently found in South Carolina, according to a report from the Department of Energy. The report says Radiological Control Operations at the Savannah River Site discovered a wasp nest near the nuclear facility on July 3.

Employees who routinely check radiation levels at the Savannah River Site near Aiken found a wasp nest on July 3 on a post near tanks where liquid nuclear waste is stored.
