Padres manager Mike Shildt came to the defense of Manny Machado after the Dodgers' Dave Roberts called the third baseman's throw into his dugout "unsettling."

Said Shildt, “I thought Manny’s exhibition of professionalism and leadership were on display the other night in a very tough environment.”
