Former family vlogger Ruby Franke, who ran the YouTube channel 8 Passengers, pled guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse last year.

Both Ruby Franke and Hildebrandt pleaded guilty to four counts of child abuse in 2023 against two of Ruby Franke's children, but not Shari Franke. Both Ruby Franke and Hildebrandt were sentenced to four consecutive sentences of one to 15 years in prison.

Shari Franke, the oldest daughter of YouTube family vlogger and convicted child abuser Ruby Franke, revealed what it was like growing up with an abusive parent in a disturbing memoir which hit shelves Tuesday (January 7).

Ruby Franke and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse. The pair were jailed for up to 30 years each last February.

Former YouTuber Ruby Franke and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt are currently behind bars after pleading guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse. They were arrested in August 2023 at Hildebrandt’s house in Utah, after Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped through a window and asked a neighbour to call the police.

Ruby pleaded guilty to four counts of child abuse in December 2023, describing the “physical torture.” Ruby agreed to serve a prison term and that her sentences would run consecutively, as part of the plea deal. Ruby also testified against Hildebrant, who pleaded guilty.
