Boeing and the families of the victims of two fatal 737 Max crashes more than five years ago will have to wait to see what punishment the company will face for its misdeeds that preceded the crashes.

A federal judge is set to hold a hearing on Friday to consider objections from relatives of people killed in two Boeing 737 MAX crashes to the U.S. planemaker's agreement to plead guilty to conspiring to defraud regulators.

Relatives of passengers who died in two crashes of Boeing 737 Max planes came to a federal court in Texas on Friday to listen as their lawyers asked a judge to throw out a plea agreement that the aircraft manufacturer struck with prosecutors and put the company on trial.
