George John Hanson was executed in McAlester, Oklahoma Thursday morning, following his recent transfer to the state by the Trump administration.

John Hanson, 61, died nearly 26 years after a crime spree with an accomplice that included the slaying of Mary Bowles, 77, and the murder of a second innocent bystander.

Oklahoma had scheduled John Hanson's execution for Dec. 15, 2002, but the Biden administration blocked his transfer from federal custody to the state.
