Imax has named Jonathan Fischer, who has held senior-level executive posts at Netflix, Illumination and New Regency, as its Chief Content Officer. In his new role, Fischer will oversee Imax's content strategy across Hollywood and international films,

Fischer, most recently vp of content strategy & analysis, global films for Netflix, will be based in Playa Vista and report to Imax CEO Rich Gelfond. His appointment comes on the heels of Imax tapping Anne Globe as its new chief marketing officer to oversee all brand, film marketing, creative and social media for the company.
