Gavin and Smithy's friends returned for Smithy's stag do and wedding, and Daniel Jeffrey, who last played Simon well over a decade ago, had to be "tracked down" for this appearance.

One of its stars, Alison Steadman, plays Essex-born Pam Shipman on the programme.
