Devara: Part One has got two more days of free run at the box office before Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan hits the screens as the big Dussehra release this year. However, the Jr NTR-starrer is expected to achieve its respective box office benchmarks despite the new release.

Jr NTR expressed dissatisfaction with the box office performance of Devara: Part 1 and attributed some blame to an overly critical audience. He believes that viewers have become more analytical, losing the joy of simply watching movies.
