Cristiano Ronaldo on Friday weighed in on the decision to hand the men's Ballon d'Or award to Manchester City's Rodri, saying Brazil and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. deserved to win instead.

Cristiano Ronaldo covered a lot of ground during his brief, on-stage appearance at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Friday.

Former Madrid forward Ronaldo added that Vinicius was a more deserving candidate than Spain and Manchester City midfielder Rodri, who took home the award, due to him having scored in a Champions League final.
