The New York Jets haven't seemed too worried about 2025 and beyond. Knowing that time was short with Aaron Rodgers, they focused on this season. That's a reason Robert Saleh was fired after five games. There's no time for patience. But at some point soon there will be a reality to face, and it might not be pretty.

Robert Saleh wrote a classy goodbye to the Jets. Saleh, who was reportedly “blindsided” by the team’s decision to fire him Tuesday after a 2-3 start, released a statement Wednesday thanking the organization.

"It was probably inevitable, but it's more of the Jets not being able to get out of their own way. I’m not sure what firing (him) now does."
